Orlando Kid Friendly Restaurants

When you think about the best dining cities in the United States, Orlando might not be high on your list, but it should be. The cities food scene has come a long way over the years and there are now restaurants here that allow Orlando to compete with the likes of New York, Chicago and even San Francisco. That being said, kid friendly restaurants in Orlando can be hard to come by.

So, what makes a restaurant “Kid Friendly”? For us it means that the restaurant should be casual, comfortable and it should have more than a few dining options for the under 12 crowd. Ideally, it should also have a bit of flare to keep the kids interested and entertained.

Kids can choose from 9 entrees, 6 different sides and dozens of drinks. Then, when they are done they can finish their meal off by enjoying an ice cream sandwich or building their own ice cream sundae.

Your little ones are unlikely to get the Forrest Gump references, but parents sure will enjoy it. Be sure to take advantage the trivia and Gump inspired merchandise.

But what about the adult food? This place has you covered and while it does go heavy on the fried seafood angle, there are other options. There are plenty of beef, chicken and past recipes, as well as some salads.

Bubba Gump Shrimp Co is located inside of Universal City Walk. Parking is free after 6PM, so make your reservations for 630 PM or later to give yourself time to park and get to the restaurant. Parking before 6PM is $26.
